Disciplinary Committee

Pursuant to Section 31 (3) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on higher-education institutions and amending and supplementing other laws, the Disciplinary Committee of the FIT shall hear disciplinary offences of students enrolled in programmes taught at the FIT and submit draft decisions to the Dean.

The members of the Disciplinary Committee of the FIT are appointed by the Dean from among members of the academic community of the faculty, based on previous approval of the Academic Senate of the FIT. One half of the members of the Disciplinary Committee of the faculty shall be formed by students, of which no more than one shall be a doctoral student. The Disciplinary Committee shall elect and remove its Chairperson from among its members.

The term of office of the members of the Disciplinary Committee of the faculty shall not exceed 2 years.

The meetings of the Disciplinary Committee of FIT shall be governed by the Disciplinary Rules of Brno University of Technology and Disciplinary Rules for the Students of FIT.

In order to initiate disciplinary proceedings, the complainant is obliged indicate the following requisites (see Art. 6 (3) of the Disciplinary Rules of Brno University of Technology):

  1. description of the act which allegedly constitutes a disciplinary offence, including a specification of the particular legal and/or internal regulations violated;
  2. identification of the student who allegedly committed the disciplinary offence;
  3. reasoning as to why the act constitutes a disciplinary offence;
  4. adduced evidence supporting the complaint.
