Documentary, podcast, series: An opportunity for those who want to raise the profile of their research

Do you have a research topic that you’d like to share with a wider audience? Apply for the third edition of the Inspirační fórum 2026 Matchmaking, which connects researchers with creators of documentary films, podcasts and other audiovisual formats.

The programme offers the opportunity to present your research in an accessible and engaging way outside the academic setting. Selected participants will be arranged face-to-face meetings with documentary filmmakers during the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, as well as expert consultations and support in further developing a joint project. The result could be a documentary film, a series, a podcast or another format that brings scientific knowledge closer to the public.

Participation is open to individual researchers as well as entire research teams. Experience in film or media production is not a prerequisite – what matters, on the contrary, is a strong topic and a desire to explore new ways of presenting it.

To take part, simply complete the online application form by 15 September 2026 and briefly describe your research project.

Participation in the programme is free of charge.
