Go abroad with the Erasmus+ programme

Dear students,

Would you like to spend part of your studies at a university abroad or gain work experience in an international environment? Apply for the selection process for Erasmus+ study placements and work placements.

We are currently announcing selection rounds for:

Erasmus+ study placements in the summer semester 2026/2027

The selection round is for study placements taking place between 1 February and 30 September 2027.

Submit your application via the STUDIS module, which will be open from 31 August to 15 September 2026.

In the STUDIS application form, you will see a list of partner institutions from which you can choose as part of the selection process. More detailed information about individual universities can be found on the FIT website and on the websites of the partner universities.

Erasmus+ mobility outside the EU: Studying in Switzerland

During the summer semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, it is also possible to undertake an Erasmus+ mobility placement outside the EU at the Swiss Università della Svizzera italiana.

Please also complete your application in the STUDIS module by 15 September 2026.

Erasmus+ work placements

You can also apply for work placements taking place between 1 August 2026 and 28 February 2027.

You can choose from two options:

• standard work placement lasting 60 to 90 days,
• short-term work placement for PhD students lasting 5 to 30 days.

Please submit your application via the STUDIS module by 15 September 2026 at the latest.

The maximum duration for which a work placement can be funded under the Erasmus+ programme is three months. The host organisation may be a company, a research institution or a university. It is not necessary for FIT to have a bilateral agreement in place with the host institution for the placement to take place.

Mandatory attachments to the application

Please attach one of the following documents to your application for both standard and short-term work placements:

• a completed and confirmed Learning Agreement for Traineeships,
• an email confirmation of acceptance onto the work placement from the selected institution,

How applications are assessed

The selection process focuses in particular on:

• academic average,
• satisfactory fulfilment of study obligations,
• provisional study plan abroad,
• involvement in student societies,
• whether this is the first study period abroad during the current cycle of study.

Do you need to demonstrate English language proficiency at B2 level?

Most partner universities require a minimum level of English proficiency at B2 for study stays.

Students who need to demonstrate this level by sitting an exam may register for the VYA013 exam at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology.
