Abstract

A novel method for automatic camera calibration by scene monitoring and localization of landmarks is described in this technical report. Localization of landmarks on vehicles together with knowledge of their 3D coordinates in local coordinate system can be exploited for camera calibration. Calibration consequently allows making measurements in a scene.
