Abstract
Synthetic fingerprints are images generated by software which looks like real fingerprints. Usually, they are used for performance testing or database augmentation. In my talk I will focus on their different usage as an education tool. I will show various damages or noises which can be present in fingerprint image. One of them will be skin diseases which can have significant effects on the image. Final remark would be about fingerprint quality estimation.
