Annotation

This article discusses using of computer animation techniques for displaying of simulation results. An overview of animation as scientific data visualization technique is given. There are two approaches to join together a simulation and animation. The animation is either generated in an individual step after the simulation is completed or simulation and rendering of individual frames run simultaneously. Architectures of both approaches will be discussed. Finally a problem of real-time animation will be considered.
