Doctoral Theses and Supervisors

The supervisor and the topic of their dissertation are selected by applicants for doctoral studies as part of the admission procedure, because they apply for prepared topics announced by the supervisors and approved by the Programme board for a specific study program.

The supervisor is an integral part of the selection and approval of study orientation in the form of subjects and duties registered in the individual study plan and their possible changes throughout the study period. Throughout the course, the student regularly consults with the supervisor on the current status and future steps of his/her research and study.

The student also becomes a part of the so-called training workplace, i.e. the relevant department, and FIT BUT research groups.
