Abstract

The aim of this thesis was automatic pitch detection in melodic guitar lines and subsequenttranscription to guitar tablature. Final system uses comb filtering to detect pitch. Individualnotes are separated by beat detection. An algorithm for transcription of notes to guitartablature, based on minimalization of hand movement is proposed.
