Abstract

Term project contains decription of Internet of things and its technologies. Primarily, it is focused on the issue of  smart homes and presents currently available options. The ultimate objective is to design smart home  using open-source technologies. The emphasis is placed on security and high acccessibility. The solution is fault-tolerant for any component, f.e. the failure of any component does not affect the system running. Term project allows orientation in the current options for open-source smart home.
