Abstract

The paper presents the cause and effect analysis used in process improvement of software development. There are three main steps involved in the construction of a cause and effect diagram. The first step is to collect a list of causes. The next step is to construct the diagram as outlined in the above purpose. The final step is the interpretation of the data. This is usually done by consensus.
