Abstract

The paper describes basic features of the object-oriented database model. We start with the elementary elements, i.e. concepts and their properties. We continue with the description of relationships and collections. Next we will explain inheritance. Furthemore, we show attributes of model components. The examples are written in one of syntactic expressions of such model, i.e. CDL language of the G2 database system implemented in VEMA Ltd. Brno.
