Abstract

The paper shows that it is possible to make a model and performsimulations of emerging high-performance parallel computers usingcommunicating sequential processes. Two different scalable parallelmachines have been selected for modeling. The first is Swiss-T0 machinebased on Remote Store Architecture where all communications are doneonly by writes and all nodes are connected to a common bus. The secondis StarT-Voyager which supports several types of message passingmechanisms and all computation nodes are connected by a fat treenetwork. For demonstration purposes we have simulated a parallelsolution of a system of linear equations with the aid of Transimsimulation tool.
