Orthogonal time-frequency and space modulation (OTFS) offers substantial performance enhancements compared to orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing modulation (OFDM), particularly in scenarios with high mobility and when encountering high Doppler shifts. However, to harness these gains, channel estimation and equalization remain the key. We aim to assess the suitability of OTFS in millimeter-wave (mmWave) bands and explore the potential for low-complexity channel estimation and equalization. To achieve this, we conducted a real-world performance evaluation of OTFS channel estimation for vehicular communications at 60 GHz bands.
