Abstract

Thispaper discusses the design and simulation of the Total-X flight controlconcept. Total-X has been implemented into the flight control logic of a lightaircraft's flight control system. This implementation has been subjected to numeroussimulations using rapid prototyping and real-time simulation environments. Theadvantage of the Total-X system proved to be in excellent performance andmoderate complexity of the resulting controller structure compared to classicalcontrol law design.
