Abstract
This paper describes the predictive direct stator flux control algorithm for vector control of AC induction motors. This algorithm is based on the similar ideas as the Direct Torque Control (DTC). It can be viewed as a continuous (in the magnitude of the voltage vector) replacement of the DTC algorithm. For this purpose it uses space vector modulation. The main advantage of this algorithm is the suppression of the torque and stator current ripple. The computational complexity of the algorithm is a bit higher but still comparable to the one of DTC algorithm.
