Abstract

Education in information technology is the best way leading to the grow and exploitment of e-applications. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Brno University of Technology (BUT) in the Czech Republic has had a tradition of more than thirty years in teaching computer science and engineering. In response to the demands for graduates specialized, BUT has established the Faculty of Information Technology this year. The offered bachelor, master, and PhD study programmes are presented and discussed in the context of their impact and supporting research.
