Profile

Study branch Computer Networks and Communication covers different parts of data transmission (wired, wireless, mobile), implementation of computer networks for data, voice and multimedia transmissions, including sensor and real-time communications. Students will understand basic concepts and principles of computer communication,  network architecture, and design of network application. They will learn how to design different communication systems, model their behavior, simulate and test them. They will learn how to design communication hardware and process signals. They will get acquainted with design principles of distributed systems connected with information and database systems. Students will study aspects of threat analysis and security.

Státní závěrečná zkouška (SZZ) má dvě části, a to obhajobu diplomové práce a ústní část v podobě odborné rozpravy o zadaných tématických okruzích z předmětu "Počítačové sítě a komunikace", jehož náplň vychází z vybraných povinných předmětů na oboru MSK, kterými jsou Inteligentní systémy, Přenos dat, počítačové sítě a protokoly, Architektura a programování paralelních systémů, Paralelní a distribuované algoritmy, Bezpečnost informačních systémů, Bezdrátové a mobilní sítě, Prostředí distribuovaných aplikací, Pokročilé komunikační systémy, Návrh, správa a bezpečnost, Matematické struktury v informatice, Teoretická informatika a Hardware/Software codesign. Rada studijního oboru schválí výběr tématických okruhů. Studenti jsou o těchto tématických okruzích informování nejméně 2 měsíce před SZZ v daném akademickém roce.
