Abstract
DynEd, a eligibly state-of-the-art software for technology-assisted teaching of English was introduced at Brno University of Technology. It was the first deployment of the software in a university environment in the Czech Republic and it was unclear what the reception would be and what benefits it would bring. In order to obtain measurable data, a study among the first students was conducted. This article is dealing with the results of this study and is focused on student's perception of the software, analyzing the pros and cons as they were perceived by the target group and dealing with some pressing questions regarding the system.
