Abstract

Thepresented effort aims to create and maintain a unified software framework fordevelopment of image/video processing applications. Many algorithmicconstructions and data types tend to repeat themselves in this class ofapplications as well as user interface primitives and control procedures. Theframework named the Viewsshouldestablish itself as a repository of such repeated softwareconstructions sharedby programmers developing image/video processing applications. Thepaper presents the structure of a wider visual data processing systemincorporating embedded modules, custom cameras, inter-systemcommunication,etc. The Views system is basically the software part of this complexwritten inC language.
