Abstract

This thesis aims to design, implement and test a client-side application for Microsoft Windows to ensure controlled access to remote documents for the VDU project. The application is programmed in the C++ language, using the object-oriented library MFC, the WinFsp interface for virtual file system integration, and the Windows API. The application accesses the server via  REST API, and it is tested with a created simulated server and a custom testing script, both programmed in the Python programming language.
