Abstract

The goal of the thesis is to present methods for acceleration of shadows and lighting. Themain focus of the thesis is an acceleration of per-sample precise shadows using shadow volumes on different platforms. Other parts of this thesis also describe methods for increasing the precision of shadow map based methods and lighting.
