AI4Talents: a day full of artificial intelligence for high school students
The fourth annual AI4Talents event attracted more than 200 high school students to the VIDA! Science Center
On Friday, November 14, the Faculty of Information Technology at Brno University of Technology, together with the Faculty of Informatics at Masaryk University, organized another edition of the AI4Talents event, which is part of the AI Days 2025 festival. More than 200 high school students interested in artificial intelligence, modern technologies, and their practical applications gathered at the VIDA! Science Center in Brno. The event was intended for students who wanted to take a look behind the scenes of academic and corporate research and try out AI for themselves.

A rich program of lectures: from mathematics and critical thinking to AI in healthcare
Professor Honza Černocký from the Speech@FIT VUT group gave a lecture in the multifunctional hall entitled "My and perhaps your life with AI," in which he discussed the truths and myths about artificial intelligence, trends in speech processing, and the emphasis on mathematical and critical thinking. He was followed by Associate Professor Kamil Malinka (Security@FIT) with the topic of AI and cybersecurity, which focused on the use of AI as a tool for both defense and attack and presented the latest research directions in the field of cybersecurity.
At the same time, FI MUNI also held lectures on "The AI Generation: The Ecosystems of the Future in Our Hands?" and AI in Healthcare.

Practical workshops: website creation, speaker recognition, and media analysis
The afternoon was devoted to workshops that offered students hands-on experience with technology. For example, students could try their hand at creating their own website step by step with the help of AI, without any prior programming knowledge, or learn how technology can determine a person's age, gender, or emotions based on their voice and detect deepfakes.
In parallel with the workshops, participants could also attend a lecture on the use of AI in orbit or on the principles of tokenization and the possibilities of working with AI in an open-source environment.

Research demonstrations and accompanying program at VIDA!
Starting at lunchtime, visitors could browse the stands of FIT VUT research teams and partner companies. Researchers from the Security@FIT group demonstrated technologies for detecting deepfakes and synthetic media, while the NES@FIT team demonstrated password cracking using the Fitcrack tool.
We would like to thank all our corporate partners for their involvement, especially those who personally prepared workshops or lectures: AT&T, Phonexia, Newsmatics, Red Hat, SAP, Zaitra, Kyndryl, and NXP. Of course, thanks also go to the VIDA! Science Center itself.
