Subject specific learning outcomes and competences

Student acquaints basic concepts and principles of computer communications and computer networks and will be aware of communication functions and their implementations in common computer networks. Student will learn how to deal with RFC documents which desribe specification of communication protocols in detail. Student will learn how to implement communication protocol with respect to protocol specification in RFC document.

The aim is to understand basic concepts and principles of computer communications and computer networks; to be aware of communication functions and their implementations in common computer networks.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Codes for data presentation, Hamming distance. Programming language C/C++.

Progress assessment

Requirements for class accreditation is at least 50% of points for semester.

Controlled instruction

Laboratory practice supported by project work and final exam are the monitored, and points earning, education. Laboratory practice are without correction eventuality. Final exam has two additional correction eventualities.
