Department

Subject specific learning outcomes and competences

Overview of routing protocols RIPv2, OSPF, EIGRP and practical skill how to configure them in routers. Configuration of switches, LAN and VLAN design and building using managed swiches. Overview and usage of protocols STP and VTP.

Design of LANs and VLANs. Configuration of switches and routers.

Learning objectives

Students get skills about extended addressing techniques CIDR and VLSM. They will configure routing protocols OSPF and EIGRP on routers. The second part of the course is about design and building LANs and VLANs. Student will configure local networks on managed switches. This course covers CCNA 3.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Successful completion of the course CC1 at the FIT or the courses CCNA 1 and CCNA 2 at another Cisco Network Academy.
