Subject specific learning outcomes and competences

Students will understand common WAN technologies. They will learn how to configure network address translation and port address translation. They will understand WAN technologies PPP, Frame Relay and ISDN and how to configure it. They get overview of optical networking.

Overview of common WAN technologies. Practical skill how to design and build WANs. This course leads to an industrial certification CCNA.

Learning objectives

Students will learn about technologies for desing and building WAN networks. In labs they will get practical skills about serial connection using PPP, ISDN and Frame Relay.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Passing of the course CC2 at the FIT or CCNA1 to CCNA3 courses at another Cisco Network Academy.
