1BIT: Registration/enrolment of elective courses for the winter semester

Automated registration of mandatory courses in winter semester for all 1st year students will take place on 10 September 2025, registration of elective courses is going to take place from 12 September to 21 September 2025 via the Courses registration module. Please note that during this period - more precisely from 13 September to 14 September - registration of exercises for 1BIT and registration for specific dates of Circle Consultations is also going to take place via the Classes registration module.

The initial maximum amount of credits for the 2025/26 academic year is the same for all 1BIT students - 65 credits. This limit may be increased based on the results achieved in the winter semester. More detailed information and recommendations for some interesting elective courses are available at: https://www.fit.vut.cz/study/advisor/20252026/eregistrace-1rocnik/, while the registration itself is governed by Guideline No. 2/2012.

In order to successfully advance to the 2nd semester of study, it is necessary to obtain at least 15 credits for the 1st semester of study from the courses enrolled for the 1st semester. Credits from recognized courses (English or courses from previous studies at university) does not count towards this minimum. The initial selection of courses can still be changed during the re-registration of courses for all years, which will take place from 13 September 1 p.m. until 21 September 2025. Therefore, if a student reconsiders his/her choice during the first week of classes, he/she may withdraw from the elective course by Sunday, September 21. If warranted, the registration of the elective course can still be cancelled in the 2nd week of classes via an application in BUT IS. A request later in the semester can only be granted for very serious reasons (e.g. long-term hospitalization).

In the first week of the summer semester there will be additional re-registration of courses, where it will be possible not only to make changes but also to add electives up to the maximum amount of credits set according to the results in the winter semester. According to the result of the English plaement test, you will be able to register the English language course.
