Abstract

This work deals with information retrieval (IR) from multimedia data, especially from audiovisual data and also describes IR models like Boolean model, Vector space model and Probabilistic model. Part of this work discusses information about metadata and more detailed about standard MPEG-7. Another important chapter is about indexing of metadata.
