Computer stopped working a few days before submitting an assignment? Students may borrow faculty laptops

What to do when your laptop breaks down before submitting an assignment and when there is currently no access to computer laboratories? Students who have to face such a problem can now borrow faculty laptops. "A student who gets into an awkward situation when, for example, they have no device they can use to work on their projects due to a malfunction, can ask the FIT library, which will provide a laptop in co-operation with the Computer Centre, as well as prepare a loan record. The student can then visit the library during opening hours to sign the record at the distribution point and pick up the laptop. The loan is intended for the necessary period before the student's computer is repaired, or before the student buys a new computer, so we expect they will have the laptop for a month at most," explains Bohuslav Křena, Vice-Dean for Efficiency and Academic Affairs.
