Immersive Trip Reports
Čadík Martin, doc. Ing., Ph.D. (DCGM FIT BUT)
virtual reality, photography presentation, hike, image geo-localization, terrain model, immersive visualization.
This software implements the Immersive Trip Reports research paper originally published at the UIST 2018 conference. It allows automatic reconstruction of virtual hikes which can be re-visited using virtual reality. The reconstructed hikes can be viewed on a computer screen, or using a Virtual Reality device. This software also implements automatic rendering of textured terrain, a feature used by LandscapeAR project. LandscapeAR allows us to localise individual cameras from a single photograph with respect ti the rendered terrain model.
