Description

The smart camera does real-time license plate detection with an object detector in FPGA. The detected license plates are tracked and virtual line crossing is detected. On the crossing event, data package with image and metadata is composed and sent to data server via ZeroMQ. This camera demonstrates how a simple low-end hardware can be used as a base for traffic monitoring and that no other computing resources are needed at the camera site.
