Description

A functional sample of the photogrammetric station was designed as part of the A.D.A.P.T. - Anthropological Data Proportion Database project (PID: VI04000019). The sample has been validated for the purpose of photographic and 3D photogrammetric documentation of the human body ina full-body extent. As part of the project, the sample will be used to collect morphometric data on the Czech population, with 3D models representing living individuals and measured to obtain the dimensions used in the standards of ISO for the development of protective equipment and clothing. The station consists of a support structure made of aluminum profiles in the shape of a cylinder with a height of 230 cm and a diameter of 206 cm, equipped with recording modules (lighting, 13MPix cameras and an adapter for mounting). The modules are connected to the computer and conroled via SW FSCAM_CU135 - SDK software. Depending on the number of connected sensors, their placement and acquisition settings, the photogrammetric station enables synchronized photographing of the body located in the scanning area. The resulting photographs are further processed by a photogrammetric software into textured 3D models. The project proved the usefulness of the photogrammetric station for 3D documentation of the human body surface.
