Determining Location of Target Within the Indoor Location System
Recent advances in thearea of electronics have significantly contributed to the ubiquitous characterof wireless sensor networks. The importance of such kind of communicationparadigm can be demonstrated by the growing number of its adoptions through theindustry andconsumer sector. Many real-life sensor network applications require locationawareness which represents the ability to determine the position of a givenobject or trace its movement. This paper deals with the convenient techniquesdesignated for a target node localization or discovery within the indoor location system.First part of this paper investigates the technical background and constraintsthat have an impact on wireless sensor networks performance. Subsequently, theattention is given to various methods that could be used for the purpose of indoor applicationstargeting. The reliable system has to be adjusted for a particular deploymentscenario which may involve combination of various localization or trackingmethods. Analysis of the individual methods and their implications will beprovided. The last part contains proposition of the intended application casefor indoorlocalization by means of wireless sensor network.
