Emergency communications, artificial intelligence, speech technologies, system integration.
Experience from the effects of major natural disasters in
the Czech Republic (e.g., floods, hurricanes - Kyrill, Emma, Herwart,
tornadoes) shows that emergency communication and subsequently
the activities of integrated rescue system (IRS) units represent
an extreme load for the personnel of emergency communication
centers (ECCs) and operational centers of IRS units. It is, therefore,
necessary to investigate whether artificial intelligence (AI) can be
an effective tool in these cases that will reduce the load on ECC
personnel and whether it is possible to use AI when receiving
emergency communication not only in autonomous deployment but
also in the form of a collaborative robot.
