Models of Wave Propagation Along Car Roof
Raida Zbyněk, prof. Dr. Ing., UREL (FEEC)
The paper is focused on modeling the transmission channel along a car roof. The frequencies of the anylysis are 2.4 GHz anf 5.8 GHz to be used for in-car wireless services. Propagation of electromagnetic energy and modeling the transmission channel along a well-conductive plate are the issues discussed. For the analytical description, we used the Norton model of electromagnetic wave propagation. Numerical models of wave propagation along a conductive plate were created in CST Microwave Studio and compared with the analytical model. Finally, the practical experiment was carried out, and results of measurements, numerical modeling and analytical modeling were compared.
