Abstract

In this paper, the comparison of adaptive system behavior using ideal dipoles and real dipoles as antenna array elements is investigated. The Eigen-Beamspace system based on spatial correlation matrix decomposition is presented and it is used for adaptive signal processing. The linear antenna array with either real or ideal elements is considered. The obtained radiation patterns using considered beamforming algorithm are shown and compared. The effect of using real and ideal elements on obtained radiation patterns is described and the parameters of adaptive system are also investigated.
