Modeling antennas by time-domain integral-equation (TDIE) method
Raida Zbyněk, prof. Dr. Ing., UREL (FEEC)
The submission describes our development in the area of antenna modeling by the TDIE method. The method is based on a scheme with weighted Laguerre polynomials (originally proposed by Sarkar group), which is free of the late time oscillations. In our work, we modified this scheme in order to obtain an efficient tool for the analysis of antennas and microwave circuits. Two alternative formulations of the scheme were derived and issues of the choice of scaling factor of the time axis and the number temporal basis functions have been discussed. Exploitation of the described approaches is demonstrated on an analysis of a spiral antenna. Our future work is going to be focused on modeling of electrically large structures in the time domain.
