Abstract
The paper is oriented to a novel approach to the synthesis of non-conventional patch antennas exhibiting wideband or multi-band behavior. The synthesis is based on the frequency-domain moment method analysis of planar patch antennas and on their multi-objective genetic optimization. Antenna matching in the selected frequency band and its maximum gain in x-directions and y-directions are chosen as the three basic criteria of the multi-objective optimization.
