Abstract

High efficiency sensor-less control algorithms for AC induction motor are compared in this paper. The comparison is carried out from different aspects. Classical vector control and direct torque control are discussed. The first part is interested in precision determination of the control algorithms by the simulations in Simulink environment. The second one consists in algorithmic complexity measurement. It is provided using Performance tools from Simulink, namely with Profiler. It gives time requirements of principal parts of control algorithms. Both control schemes use the same flux and speed observer that works well also in low frequency range. The behavior of AC induction motor is simulated using Gama-model.
