Automation devices and systems are developed more and more by embedded Ethernet wired ( IEEE 802.3) as well as wireless (IEEE 802.11a f) interfaces. This development reflects a general tendency that Internet technologies are very favoured in the now days information society. Next wireless technologies such as Bluetooth and others do not stay far from this focus. Nevertheless any single sensor is produced neither with IEEE 802.3 or IEEE 802.11 interfaces or other wireless one. Contribution deals with an ambitious project of development of single pressure sensor prototype with embedded Bluetooth communication interface as for commercial (meteorological station), as process measurement and control purposes. Authors present HW design and realization as well as SW concept of the first wireless networked standalone sensor.
