Abstract
This paper presents an overview of possible attacks to the Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs). After the classification of attacks according to the OSI layer model, we concentrated on the selected attack to the physical layer – a Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA). The comparative analysis of different up-to-date PUEA detection techniques is presented and the necessity for further research in this area is briefly discussed.
