Short-term study

How to apply

  • First step Nomination

    Ask your mobility coordinator to nominate you

    • by 30 April for winter semester or the full year
    • by 15 October for summer semester

    The nomination is to be done by sending an e-mail including name of the student, the student's e-mail address and the required period of study in Brno to studena@fit.vut.cz

  • Second step E-Application

    Complete the E-application

    • by 30 April for winter semester or the full year (EU students by 31 May)
    • by 15 October for summer semester (EU students by 15 November)

  • Third step Documents

    When the mobility coordinators have approved your Learning Agreement, you must send us the Learning Agreement from your e-application, signed by your institutional representative. Send the document to studena@fit.vut.cz.

    Alternatively, you can submit the Online Learning Agreement (OLA) for signature. (However, the courses must be approved in the LA from the BUT application first!)

    The deadline for ending/submitting the documents is:

    • by 15 May for winter semester or the full year (EU students by 15 June)
    • by 30 October for summer semester (EU students by 30 November)

  • Fourth step Accomodation

    You can apply for accommodation in a BUT hall of residence by completing the online Request for Accommodation.

    Please mind that the accommodation request will not be dealt with before you finalize your Learning Agreement.

    If you have to apply for a visa, it is strongly recommended that you arrange your accommodation well in advance, as you need to provide confirmation of accommodation as an integral part of the visa application procedure.
