Abstract

In order to improve the navigation and control abilities of a drones operator, sensory data information from a StereoLabs ZED camera is collected over an outdoor environment to implement the Simultaneous Localization and Mapping method. Moreover, a PointCloud and/or octree is used to represent the generated 3D map. Also, transmission of the data from a  JetsonTX2 companion computer mounted on a drone to a ground control station is analyzed. Furthermore, a methodology of the data collection-transmission is presented.
