The aim of the subject is to provide information about the available tools and possibilities of using geographic information systems (GIS) in environmental engineering. GIS is an effective tool for data management, analysis and presentation, which has wide application in this field. Graduates of the course will acquire the required professional knowledge and practical skills during teaching in exercises structured.

Cíle předmětu

Graduates of the course will acquire the necessary professional knowledge and practical skills that will enable them to effectively use geographic information systems (GIS) in the field of environmental engineering. The acquired knowledge can be practically applied in further studies and professional practice. Students will be able to use GIS for management, analysis and presentation of data as part of solving specific tasks in the field.

  • 6. Data analysis – GIS analytical tools – raster data analysis.
  • 7. Data analysis – GIS analytical tools – work with a digital terrain model, spatial analysis.
  • 8. Presentation of the results of analyzes, map creation.
  • 9. Mobile GIS.
  • 10. Possibilities of connecting GIS and BIM.
  • 11. Submission of a semester project.
  • 12. Processing of the semester project.
  • 13. Defense of the semester project.

Průběžná kontrola studia

Průběžné plnění dílčích zadání, zpracování semestrálního projektu a jeho závěrečná prezentace.
