Abstrakt

The problem, initially due to J. Rosick\' y and J. Ad\'amek,
was partially solved by M. Hu\v sek. Assuming normality, M.
Hu\v sek fully characterized the investigated spaces as spaces with a
finite Wallman remainder. In this paper we prove that the assumption of
normality may be omitted. On the other hand, we show that paracompactness and
some other covering properties kill the weak reflectivity of a noncompact
topological space in compact spaces.
