This presented paper deals with the original synthesis of the frequency selective surfaces design (FSS) with global optimization method. For the optimization of the structure, the genetic algorithm method (GA) and particle swarm optimization method (PSO) are used. The optimization method code is combined with CST Microwave Studio, which is as computational kernel used. This combination of the modification of the global optimization methods and accuracy computational kernel (CST MWS) warrants the accuracy, universality and speed of design of the FSS. The method is applied to design of FSS as band-pass filter in frequency range 3 to 7 GHz.
