Thisdocument describes the state-of-the art in text- andspeech-processing within the scope of the M-Eco system and project.Various methods to tackle the problems involved are described andmethods to evaluate system performance are covered. Part 2 addressesthe processing and classification of text while part 3 addressesspeech recognition.
