Students will develop the ability to express themselves confidently and persuasively in intellectually demanding conversations. They will utilize an expanded range of vocabulary and rhetorical strategies, and contribute thoughtfully to debates surrounding complex societal and technological developments.

Cíle předmětu
The conversation classes open up the opportunity to explore controversial social and scientific issues that are actively shaping today´s digital landscape, inviting students to think critically and form their own informed perspectives. The aim is to bridge the gap between the artificial classroom conversation and the natural, real-life discussion, and encourage students to talk about things which really matter to them on a personal, political, and ethical level. Students are expected to give presentations and speeches, providing relevant information on the topic. These presentations and speeches are intended as springboards for the discussions.

Students who enroll in this course should be able to:
- use general vocabulary from all common areas
- carefully apply grammatical rules in conversation
- communicate clearly with a certain tolerance for errors
- understand English-taught lessons very well

At least fifty percent must be obtained from each part.
